Newsletter 11

October 2017

It was with great excitement that I received my new "bath bomb" molds during September. A friend kindly bought them for me in Austria and sent them here with her mother. I absolutely  couldn't wait to try them out as you can see. I think there's a workshop in the making here.

So far this month, I have presented workshops for dragon pendants and decorating teaspoons. As always, I have loved the interaction with the participants and been stunned with their stunning creations.

I will be sharing a stall at the Disc World day at The Moors Castle in Muldersdrift on Saturday 4 November.

Remember. I'll have loads of handmade items for sale and will also be offering workshops on the day. In fact, I would love to get your opinion on which workshops to offer. Please give me an idea of which you think people are likely to want to do:

Dragon pendants Teaspoon decorating Glass decorating
Dragon eggs Cute creatures Magic wands
Bookmarks Fairy garden decorations

Anyway, come and find us at stall number 77. We're calling it "Teatime and Mudd Craft Emproium" and it will be wonderful to see you there.

Whenever I go to a social event where I take my own alcohol, I take one of my decorated glasses along. My theory is that with a custom made glass, no one will "accidentally" steal my drink. A few weeks ago, I went to a function where a friend was visiting from America. I told him about my theory and he replied that he could guarantee that my glass would be stolen by the end of the evening. Well, his prediction was 100% correct (except that I actually gave him the glass). He said he is sure that people will pay lots of money for art glasses such as these and he would find out when he got home. I have not heard back from him yet (except to tell me that he had enjoyed a glass of wine in it) but hopefully will be sending many of glasses to the US and earning lovely dollars for them.

Polymer clay is a super fun and very enjoyable medium to work with. It's very versatile and the application possibilities are practically endless. ClayologieTM is my clay of choice. Not only is it manufactured in South Africa, but it is also of very high quality and has a fantastic range of colours and other clay related products. I'd love to get the chance to show you if I haven't done so already.

Please drop me an email or send a Whatsapp so that we can set up a workshop for me to show you how much fun this medium is. You can also pop onto my website and see if there is a workshop you would like to attend. The link to take you directly to the workshops is: Workshops and the link for my upcoming schedule is here: Workshop schedule.

If you would like to host your own polymer clay workshop at your home, drop me a line and let's see what we can put together. I'm always open to suggestions of what you would like to do and would really love your feedback.

Also, remember that as a facilitator and stockist, you can buy any of your polymer clay supplies from me.

Don't forget to go have a look at my sweet little advert on Jozikids and spread the word to all and sundry. Mudd Craft is alive and kicking and making art!  Mudd Craft Jozikids advert
